How to Focus Like an Olympian

image

By Matt Johnson

Founder of The Feed.

Neuroscientists have discovered much about what's happening inside our brains during "flow state". Because of modern science, we now have tools to help us "hack" our way into this heightened level of mental performance.

Imagine...you're in a race when suddenly time stands still, and everything click.

Your pain and exhaustion melt away. Your breath becomes effortless, and your muscles are fully charged. Like a laser beam, you're singularly focused and immersed in the task. Your body is a machine, ready and able to do as you command it with no complaints. You soar past your competitors, tireless, unstoppable. Pure exhilaration floods your veins.

Welcome to Flow State

...also known as 'being in the zone".

I've been lucky enough to experience this remarkable sensation a few times in my athletic pursuits. Every single time, it produced the best and most memorable athletic achievements of my life: winning a National Championship as a kid or a World Championship as a Master's athlete.

These are all moments I remember vividly to this day.

What connects them is that I entered a state where everything felt like it was in slow motion, and I achieved something my rational self would have said I was unlikely to achieve.

Most of us have experienced a flow state at least once or twice, especially at some point in our athletic journey.

Regardless of how short and sweet the experience was, once you've had a taste flow, you'll spend the rest of your life chasing it (especially true of athletes, including myself). Certain types of people, like the elites, have mastered getting into a flow state.

Flow is a high-performance drug. It's a very literal chemical state produced by a cocktail of essential neurotransmitters in our brains.

Neuroscientists have discovered much about what's happening inside our brains during Flow. Because of modern science, we now have tools to help us 'hack' our way into this Superman-like state of consciousness.

But I want to be very clear that nootropics alone won't automatically produce a flow state. It's a full-body experience. The right nootropics can help you achieve Flow more efficiently and give you a fuller, richer experience.

Enter: Hyperfocus

The best product I have found to make it easier to get into a flow state is Hyperfocus from SwissRX. It is a liquid with a built-in dropper. Take 2 to 4 Dropperfuls into your mouth 30 minutes before workouts or competitions.

It contains the top 3 nootropics in efficacious dosages: Gaba, L-Theanine, and Hyperzia Serrata.

Hyperfocus has a slight lemon flavor, and the taste is surprisingly good. Take the drops throughout the day as needed.

Take them throughout the day for high-focus tasks (like writing this email!) and also before interval workouts where I can tend to lose Focus. Combine with a Maurten CAF Gel before your workout.

Tip: If you ever feel jittery from too much caffeine, Hyperfocus will help you stop the jitters and boost your caffeine fueled focus.

This is one of the most exciting products from SwissRX, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
